frankie64 9 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 So I have approximately 75000 library items right now. I have researched the db cache size, my library.db file is 384M in size. The system is using 3.6GB of ram out of available 33.6GB so memory is not a problem. I could not find any info on this in the search. What should this be set to? F
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I have my cache size set to 10000 and i see no performance hits that can be attributed to any kind of memory overload. I should emphasize that my server has no other tasks but Emby except for DrivePool and TightVNC. I keep my server as clean as i can. It was suggested, some time ago, that I increase my cache, the exact reason escapes me right now, and I experimented with several smaller numbers and had zero problems. I stopped at 10000 simply because it seemed lager enough at 200 times where I started. I've been running with that value for a long time and there is nothing adverse I can report that seems at all related to cache size. Some times I wish Emby had an easy way to view memory usage and cpu load inside Emby. But then I think about it more and I am quite glad they do not as I would, probably, spend much too much time watching the stats instead of watching content. 2
