Emby 4.8.8.0 Apple TV won't playback anything

I just updated to 4.8.8.0 and now EMBY on my Apple TV refuses to playback media. Looking at the dashboard, it tries to transcode for a half a second then tries a couple more times before I get a playback error on the TV. I tried the same file from the browser on my laptop and it plays just fine. Seems there may be an incompatibility with the AppleTV app and EMBY 4.8.8.0.

Can you please add logs for your test? 

Can you also check under Playback settings on the client and ensure Preferred Video Player is set to Auto?  Do another test, and if that doesn't work, then test each of the other settings and please report back your results
