@LukeSorry to revive this but the issues has continued since I first posted but I don’t see a solution on the forums. I have users who can’t get in on iOS and android and one who just downloaded emby on New Year’s Eve and the same thing. A continuous login loop on the app.

Hi, When they login, what does the title of the login screen say at the top?

@LukeHi Luke. Nothing comes up at the top of the screen it just “loads” as though it’s going to open emby and then brings them back to the login screen.

@SMTV91and then when they get to that login screen, what is the title at the top of the screen?

I don’t think I’m understanding what you mean @Luke They’ll try logging in on the app and there’s nothing at the top of the screen. It’s just the emby logo with a spinning circle in the middle then it flashes and goes back to the log in screen.

What version number of the app are you on now?

@Lukemy user tried again after updating and now just gets the Invalid username/password error. Username is correct and she changed the password after getting the error the first time but same issue. She’s been unable to use it on iOS for the past two months.

Hi, how did you confirm that the username is correct?

It’s the username she used when she signed up and when I added her to the server that’s the name that comes up with each of her failed log in attempts.

The notification is just showing what she entered. It's not a confirmation of what the user name actually is. 

Did you check in your Users section?

Hi Luke, apologies for the late reply. Her name under Users is just her first name. I know everyone has a username/display name they chose when signing up with emby but I just use their real names in my User list to help me keep track of them and I always choose to connect using embyconnect. She's the only one currently having the issue of logging in and she's the newest user. When she logs in she uses here email address and password. On my end I see KimSterlz which is what she chose as her user name/display name during sign up but when I added her as a User to my server I used her real name as I've done with everyone else. Do I have to change her name to KimSterlz on my end?

Hi, no, the user on your server and the user here on this forum are two different things.  You can change the name to keep it in sync if you want but it's not required. The Emby Connect feature just links them together.

Yeah that I totally get. But I finally got an inadvertent solution: I deleted her once more, she made a new account with a completely new email address, I added her new account, and now she can finally log in! Issue seems to have corrected itself?
