I think it is more he is involved in correcting this issue at this very moment and isn't ready to face criticism yet until he is sure this is resolved. It isn't anything more. I more than think this. I know this.

I HOPE you are right and I HOPE the fix works for those still running the beta BUT I no longer even have a beta server so it is highly unlikely that I will need it.

I still fail to see how a very basic function got screwed up like this. It seems to me that failing to retain settings in Emby is something that should have been discovered in alpha testing before sending it out even to the beta testers. I think this shows that server releases get made and released WITHOUT any real testing on even the most popular clients. I guess Emby figures that users in the beta program should find the most obvious bugs. That is there really seems to be no, zero, zilch alpha testing.

I guess Emby's staff is so small that they feel beta testers should also be alpha tester. :(

I apologize that it isn’t resolved for you. We’ll take another look at it and get it resolved. Thanks.

I just tested this on my beta server (Version 4.9.0.25 beta) and I can confidently say THIS IS NOT  fixed contrary to what I was told. I guess I was told it would be fixed just to shut me up.. That worked for a short time but I detest being lied to and saying this would be fixed is a LIE.

I'm really losing patience with this kind of outburst from you.

They tried to fix a problem, the fix was not effective.  This happens in development - it's why there are betas.  You know this, as you've also written: "I can easily live with bugs and other problems in the beta, those are expected".

Calling the people trying to get this working for you and everyone else "liars" is nothing better than a gratuitous insult.  And please don't hide behind your age - you should know better (and I'm pretty sure I'm older than you anyway).

I really don't care what you, or anyone else thinks about me or my posts. If you don't like what I say then don't read my posts!

It IS a lie when anyone says something that implies or promises an action and then said event fails to happen. It may be because of an unexpected action or because of lack of knowledge is just as much a lie as saying grass is red. Lies of omission are still lies.

I have no intention of not posting or of changing my posting style however I am no longer using any beta part of Emby so I will be posting a good deal less.

I do not like the fact that support gets put on the back burner so new complex "features" get added and, for me, virtually none of the new features matter. But I am becoming simply a "user" of the software rather than a tester.

So this is a semi good by and i will withdraw from most everything involving Emby so those that do not want to read my "outbursts" do not have to. :(
