richard.steele 1 Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 Went away for a long weekend to an area with spotty network, so downloaded the rest of a season of a show I've been watching. I confirmed it downloaded before I left, and I was able to watch an episode while there. However, on the second day they were all missing. I didn't remove them. I do recall a setting to automatically delete shows as I watch them. I wouldn't expect this to delete the whole series after watching a single episode. I just got back home, and I'll see if I can recreate. I have another trip coming up in a couple of weeks and would like to nail this down before then. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what might be going on? Is this a known issue? (I did some searching here before posting.) I'm running version 2.2.21 on iOS 17.4.1 on server 4.8.7.0 on Synology, running DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 3. Thanks for any guidance!
richard.steele 1 Posted June 7, 2024 Author Posted June 7, 2024 I've recreated the problem with a series that I've downloaded with the "Download unplayed videos only" option selected and after I watch a video on the Emby server (not on my phone).

richard.steele 1 Posted June 10, 2024 Author Posted June 10, 2024 No, I watch one of several unwatched in the series and it removes all of them. I haven't tried yet having multiple seasons to see if it removes all of them or just the one series.

I'm having the same issue during my holiday found out during my flight 18 hours could only watch one episode everything else were immediately deleted

Luke 42077 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 HI, just for an update, the cause of this has been identified. It will be resolved in the upcoming Emby Server 4.8.9 maintenance release. Workaround until then is to uncheck the option for "unplayed only", when setting up a download job. Thanks !
