Guest Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 (edited) Hi folks. I know there are many posts on naming etc... I've been reading forum post after forum post and cannot find a solution to my problem, so any help at all would be very much appreciated. I currently have 1096 movies on my Terramaster NAS (F4-210) with Emby 4.8.6.0, which I believe is the latest version for Terramaster. All movies show up in Plex with no issue, but for some reason, I cannot get Emby to keep 11 of the 1096 in the Movies Library. I've checked naming, checked the .nfo files to ensure they are referring to the correct movie, and have scanned, re-scanned, and scanned some more. I've removed the movies and scanned, re-added and re-scanned, removed the identification from these movies... but again and again, they keep disappearing once the scan is completed. I've added imdb, tmdb and tvdb ID's using both square brackets [ ] and braces { }... still the same 11 movies disappear... I have all movies named as follows... but still the same 11 disappear: M:\Movies\MovieName (Year)\MovieName (Year).extension For example: M:\Movies\12 Angry Men (1957)\ 12 Angry Men (1957).mp4 I also have corresponding .nfo files for each movie and are named the same (ex: 12 Angry Men (1957).nfo) I do find it strange that 9/11 movies with this happening are "old" films (from 1941 - 1962) I've uploaded my latest log, which seems to be a mess, but I have no idea what else to try. Any help would be absolutely amazing! embyserver.txt Edited June 3, 2024 by KMiles

Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 I will guess since you have database error that will be your overall issue. But devs will have to comment more if the database is recoverable. Looks like this appears for 759 movies and just as many ffprobe errors. 2024-06-03 11:18:26.396 Error BaseItem: Error refreshing item Monster 380902 /mnt/MilesMedia/Movies/Monster (2003)/ Monster (2003).mp4 *** Error Report *** Version: 4.8.6.0 Command line: /mnt/md0/application/emby/system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /home/emby -ffdetect /usr/local/emby/bin/ffdetect -ffmpeg /usr/local/emby/bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /usr/local/emby/bin/ffprobe -defaultdirectory /mnt/public -updatepackage emby_TOS_APP_{version}_aarch64.tpk Operating system: Linux version 4.4.18-g8bcbd8a-dirty (root@developer) (gcc version 4.9.4 (OpenWrt/Linaro GCC 4.9-2015.06 r48422) ) #1327 SMP Mon Aug 31 11:55:52 CST 20 Framework: .NET 6.0.25 OS/Process: arm64/arm64 Runtime: mnt/md0/application/emby/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 4 Data path: /home/emby Application path: /mnt/md0/application/emby/system SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Constraint: FOREIGN KEY constraint failed SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException: Exception of type 'SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException' was thrown. at SQLitePCL.pretty.SQLiteException.CheckOk(sqlite3 db, Int32 rc) at SQLitePCL.pretty.StatementImpl.MoveNext() at Emby.Server.Implementations.Data.SqliteItemRepository.InsertPeople(Int64 itemId, List`1 people, IDatabaseConnection db) at Emby.Server.Implementations.Data.SqliteItemRepository.UpdatePeople(Int64 itemId, List`1 people) at Emby.Providers.Manager.MetadataService`2.SaveItem(MetadataResult`1 result, Boolean isFirstRefresh, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, ItemUpdateType reason, IDirectoryService directoryService, MetadataRefreshOptions metadataRefreshOptions, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at Emby.Providers.Manager.MetadataService`2.RefreshMetadata(BaseItem item, MetadataRefreshOptions refreshOptions, BaseItem[] collectionFolders, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.BaseItem.RefreshMetadata(MetadataRefreshOptions options, BaseItem[] collectionFolders, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, CancellationToken cancellationToken) at MediaBrowser.Controller.Entities.BaseItem.RefreshMetadataRecursive(BaseItem[] children, MetadataRefreshOptions refreshOptions, BaseItem[] collectionFolders, LibraryOptions libraryOptions, Boolean recursive, Dictionary`2 newItemIds, IProgress`1 progress, CancellationToken cancellationToken) Source: SQLitePCL.pretty TargetSite: Void CheckOk(SQLitePCLEx.sqlite3, Int32)
Guest Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 @Happy2PlayThanks for your response. I am not very good with this sort of thing, so not sure why the database error is occuring. If there are errors with over 700 movies, I wonder why it is only causing the same 11 to get removed from the library. I originally noticed this issue with my TV library, and am in the same boat with that as well. I ended up removing my TV and Music libraries until I got the Movie one fixed... just trying to tackle one at a time. Thanks for flagging those errors
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 You are not alone with this issue. But it is a matter of trying to figure out how destructive it will be.

Do I just create a new db by creating a new folder and moving the content to that folder? Like I said, I don't really know about this stuff... I know all my music, videos and music work fine on Plex, so I don't understand how the db can be the problem. Any assistance would be appreciated. thanks

You will probably have to rename current libray.db and launch Emby to create a new one. But unfortunately, with all library configs being moved to db only means you are basically starting from scratch. All users will still exist as they are in their own db. Before you do anything I would make sure you run the Backup task so you can extract userdata from the database into new db.
Guest Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Spoiler Hello everyone. @Luke@Abobader @Happy2Play I am still having issues with this and am at a loss. I have all my data backed up and am ready to reset my Terramaster to factory settings. I would like to avoid wiping and reformatting the NAS Drives if possible. With the recent changes to Plex, I am now more motivated than ever to get everything switched entirely over to Emby, instead of using both. Can someone give me a set of step-by-step / Noob/ Dummy instructions to re-set up my folders and have all media recognized by Emby? Thanks in advance

Guest Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 (edited) @LukeI will start fresh if I have to, but would prefer if I don't have to format the drives. Is the best recommended solution to restore my Terramaster to Factory Settings, format my NAS Drives (4 Drives set up as RAID 6), and start fresh? Edited May 4, 2025 by KMiles
Guest Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 @LukeDisregard. I just ordered a new NAS device, so will need to format the drives anyway. First installation after the OS will be Emby, and if all goes well, I will be signing up for Emby Premiere.
