bjjones 22 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Upgraded to 4.8.8.0 and having an issue playing a file to iOS with a No Compatible Streams Error. I'm guessing it's something in a config somewhere I've done/missed since the exact file plays fine standalone, in the Emby Client in Edge and also on the same network from the same server to my Android TV client. Log doesn't seem to tell me much since the session opens and immediately closes with the No Compatible Streams and doesn't try to transcode or anything else. I don't know how to pull any kind of client iOS log or if it's even possible to see what's going on on the other side. The failed and working sessions are at the bottom of the log - Thanks embyserver.txt
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 This is being reported in the IOS section also but appears limited to the IPAD.
bjjones 22 Posted June 3, 2024 Author Posted June 3, 2024 (edited) Thanks Happy, that pretty much was my environment as well. An mkv, it worked remotely but failed on the local network all else being the same. Stripped subs out of the mkv per above and now it plays fine, switch back to the one with subs and still fails. Left iOS alone and didn't delete/reinstall the client either, just stripped out subs. Went ahead and muxed it to a mp4 with the subs and that also plays fine - it's definitely linked to an mkv w/subs. If there's anything I can log for you guys that would be helpful let me know - thanks again for the help @Happy2Play Edited June 3, 2024 by bjjones
Luke 42077 Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Hi there, can you provide a sample video for testing? Thanks.
