FireTV Android App missing Startup options?

I'm trying to do as recommended and migrate to the generic android app on the FireTV store. Latest version seems to be 3.3.82. I cannot find the startup settings. Is it not there? I want to set Emby to show the users when I startup instead of the last user that was signed in. Also I have pin enabled for one of the users which works by asking for a pin when I select that user but the pin entry is visible to everyone vs the specific FireTV app having a wheel which hides the users entry. Is there any resolution to these issues using the generic Android app? I want to do what you recommend because I know updates for the FireTV will eventually completely cease.

Is there any sort of ETA for any of these items I mentioned? For my use case updating to server 4.8 from 4.7 and using the standard android app has reduced functionality rather than increased it.
