Changing back to "Grid" View in Collections

I just updated Emby server to 4.8.8, which fixed this problem in the Win/web client, but now is causing my Android app to begin having the same issue.  Is there a toggle setting in the Android app to switch collections back to the "Grid" layout where all items are shown together?  I definitely don't want the items in any collection to be grouped by type, as many have 500+ members, and horizontal scrolling with only three titles visible at a time makes them all basically unusable (not to mention separating by type goes against my reason for creating collections in the first place).

I don't see a "Group By" toggle on the Android app like the new one on the web client -- am I missing it?

Yes as all clients have to be updated with new view/code also.  But not limited to Android apps.

Thanks for the reply.  Am I understanding correctly that there isn't a toggle currently, but a new app version is coming that will include it?

Correct as this is a per device setting not a global setting so it has to be added to each client.

Thanks again!  I will keep an eye out for the next Android app update.  Do you know if there will be any way to default all my users to the non-grouped/grid layout?  I am hoping to not have to contact every user to walk them through toggling to grid whenever they install Emby on a new device (and have one less thing to remember to ensure for all new users).  Could it be a setting under "Personal Preferences" on the User Profiles (ex. like Dark Mode, Library Order, etc) so I can administer it for each user centrally?

Devs will have to comment on that as currently a per user/per device/per collection setting.

It will be saved for the user and will apply to all collections. It will ultimately apply to all apps on all devices as well, just as soon as each app has been updated. Thanks.

Since it is item view I assumed per collection but now see it is sets for all.

Thanks very much for the clarification.  Could this user-level setting then be either:

A ) Added to the "Edit this user's profile, image and personal preferences" link in Emby Server?  I am hoping to set 'Show Grid/Do Not Group' for all my users myself/centrally rather than having to walk everybody through changing it whenever a new install is done.

and/or

B ) Have a server-level setting to change the default to 'Show Grid/Do-Not-Group' (or vice-versa) for all new users?
