curl refresh metadata for specific movies

Hi,

is it possible to refresh metadata of specific movies using curl? I know i can initiate a library scan but i need to refresh metadata just for a few movies.

Background:

I have a few movies with english description and english youtube trailer links.
A lot of them still keep the english trailer link even if everything is in german (plot etc.) so i replaced the youtube link manually to a german trailer.

When i now just refresh all movies, the trailers will get overwritten for those where no german trailer is found.

For this reason i made a powershell script to identify if the plot is german or not, and i just want to refresh those movies via curl server request because i can then control the trailer line in the NFO file and overwrite it again with the german one if needed.

Any hints how to do this? Can i do this using the movie name or do i need to get the object id from the movie names?
If i need the object id, any idea how to get the id if i just have the name?

Thanks

The exact same way you refresh a library {/Items/ID/Refresh}.  Have you looked at the server log when you Refresh any item?

It is only shown in the url same way you would see library parentid.

You can also use the "Emby Data Explorer" plugin in the catalog to see an itemid.

and you can see the InternalID so my database is 806100 for Top Gun

you can probably also use the 'path' of the item instead of the id.
