Where / How are Playlists stored?

So I setup a series of playlists for someone else thinking that playlists were universe on the server.

 

Apparently they are user exclusive.

I want to copy the playlists from one user to another. Honestly, I feel it would be a better option to enable a method to share the playlists across the entire MBS server, but that's another topic!

First several pages on the forums procured no info on this topic.

Can someone offer some insight on this?

Playlist IMO should be per-user but with the option to share with another account.

To your question: Playlists are stored here : C:\Users\USERNAMEGOESHERE\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\data\playlists\

if you edit the file you can see the row : <OwnerUserId></OwnerUserId> I would suggest copy pasting the wanted playlist and then change the OwnerUserID to have it appear for that account, if you are unsure on what the ID should be than create an empty playlist from that user and check what his/her string is.
