HDGuy 8 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 Works well, thanks. Are HDR10+ and DTS-X tags a possibility? 1

DTS-X does, HDR10+ I’m not sure because it’s an extension of HDR10. It should be doable because I’ve seen other devices (like my Z9X) display HDR10+ tags properly.

Where are you seeing this ? - as unless Emby has updated to the latest ffmpeg (which I don't believe they have) then audio object based information (DTS:X, Atmos etc) is not detected. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ should be detected (but I don't believe it 'tags' it?) Maybe you are using the MediaInfo Plugin - in which case this is where the extra information is coming from and this also allows you the option to add those attributes as emby 'tags'.

Android TV beta client 2.1.14g now displays “TrueHD Atmos” (although EAC/DD+ Atmos doesn’t seem to work). The release notes say “Improve Atmos Display”. On the web client if I do a drop down for the audio tracks of a DTS-X rip It says English DTS-HD MA 7.1 in big letters, in small right under it says “DTS:X 7.1”. I am not using the Media Info plugin as it will not work with my Unraid Emby server. 1

I haven't seen any updates to the Server (I'm using the Stable Release) so I'm presuming this detection is being done in the client. I'll test shortly but a clear way to confirm is to see what's being reported in the item metadata - unless that contains the Atmos/DTS:X etc details - then we can be sure it's the client doing it.

That is simply reading the track title - that could have been put there from anywhere. Only if it shows these details on the 'mediaInfo' can we be sure that emby has extracted this data (which can then be used for filters etc).

I’m not so sure about that because if that’s the case it appears to be doing the same thing for the Atmos tags. I am looking at the Media Info for my Alien Covenant rip (shows Atmos tag) Title: English TrueHD 7.1 (Default) Embedded Title: TrueHD 7.1 Atmos ——————- Crimson Peak rip- Title: English DTS-HD MA 7.1 Embedded Title: DTS:X 7.1 My Zidoo Z9X’s HT4.0 built in app also gets its tags from Media Info and it displays all the various tags- Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, Atmos, DTS-X, etc. I just use Emby because it’s faster and works across multiple platforms. So it appears the new beta client is displaying the Atmos tag from the Embedded Title info (probably why my Atmos EAC3 titles don’t display the tag), if so then it could do the same for DTS-X titles. Yes you have confirmed exactly what I way saying. The DTS:X and Atmos 'information' is just held in the MKV Track Title - Emby has not extracted this info, it's simply displaying it. We use exactly the same method in the MediaInfo Plugin - we change the info on the MKV Track title - not the emby metadata. So for the new AndroidTV client - @ebr 'Atmos' is now being displayed (see below) - and the only way it can do that, is by the client (AndroidTV) querying the stream with a newer version of ffmpeg than emby current use in the server. So using the new AndroidTV version - you can see this is now displaying Truehd Atmos 7.1 and for Dolby Digital Plus Atmos - this also displays now It does not do it for DTS:X - as this is a DTS:X Audio track - not sure if this is planned ? @ebr? But the reason you see it in some clients, is because you have opted to show the embedded MKV track name. So in the example below (and for all my media, because I use the mediaInfo plugin) - the track info contains all the info - DTS:X included (not in this example, as it doesn't have a DTS:X track..) but you get the idea. Thanks for the update @ebr Edited May 30, 2024 by rbjtech

Its just grabbing it from the embedded track title. I can make it see DTS:X too but that may look a little redundant as it will say 'DTS' twice. 1

Some titles do list HDR10+ in the media info, but most don't because it's basically just an extension. I wonder how my Zidoo's HT4.0 suite is able to display the correct tags for everything? For DTS:X maybe you can add it afterwards like (X) or (DTS-X), etc etc. Edited May 30, 2024 by HDGuy

If emby is only detecting it as HDR10, then you may need to Refresh the item or entire library (as this capability was only recently added) or it may not be HDR10+

I haven't seen any HDR10+ tags.
Veeb 1 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Hmm mine only shows cc(off) is there an option to enable video and audio info? Thanks.

Veeb 1 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Ah, I thought that only added detail at the bottom of this info screen, I'll switch it on, thanks so much!
