Hi everyone,

I recently did an Update of my Emby Server on my TrueNas Core (Version:  TrueNAS-13.0-U6.1) to Emby Version 4.8.7.0 (now telling me that emby is up to date).

Never had any problem before that. And now I have a couple things different, the biggest one being : PLAYBACK ERROR - NO COMPATIBLE STREAMS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.

I search my problem on the forum, but either the threads are too old or it doesn't seem to reflect my situation.

My Setup

I have a PC with Garuda Linux (Arch Based distro), Wired (not on WiFi) and I access Emby with this address on Firefox 126.0 : http://192.168.50.99:8096/web/index.html#!/home

  • accessing it with https://app.emby.media  - changes nothing.

I also have a TV on the WiFi accessing the Server with the Emby Android TV App (v.2.1.10g).

The server can only be access by LAN.

I'm certain the problem is not with the setup cause it worked just fine before updating - only giving this info in case it's needed.

I have noticed this regarding the videos details :

This file was there before the update :

MediaInfo1.png.f655684ab1a08ea325d30663f5e690d9.png

This file was added after the update :

MediaInfo2.png.09366bd4438556d0c3d5cc3cea6e558f.png

I have no information on the file.

On the TV, the files with all the information works fine and the others just don't work.

On the PC, not a single file works.

I've re-scan my library a couple time & also did several reboot of the entire NAS Server & Emby Server, to no avail.

The problem is clearly caused by the update. Something might have gone wrong or something. But I just don't know how to rollback on a previous version of emby or how to solve this problem.

Hope most of what is required is there for anyone to help. If not, tell me what is needed (with instructions on how to get it) and I'll add the information.

Thank you all.

SOLVED

I found a tutorial on how to update my Jail on the TrueNas Core Server.

I did :

  1. Stop the Jail.
  2. Open the Shell inside TrueNas Server page.
  3. Run the following command :
    iocage upgrade -r 13.2-RELEASE jail_name

I was on 13.1 before. Might be why I had the problem with the new version of emby maybe.

Note that "iocage" might need to be install. You can confirm if it's installed with the following command :

    whereis iocage

    "it should return : /usr/ports/sysutils/iocage "

if not, you need to install it :

    pkg update

    &

    pkg install iocage

// "package need should be something like py36-iocage //
  4. Restart the JAIL

For me, it worked. All the missing media Infos appeared without rescanning the server and the non working videos now plays without issues.

If any problem occurs, I'll come back here to let people know.

Sounds like version requirements/dependencies need to apply to updates to this platform.
