Flest 8 Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 I don't know why, but emby plays some files with too low volume, this can be seen in windows settings, but if I play this file in MPC, the sound is much louder
Luke 42077 Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

Luke 42077 Posted May 29, 2024 Posted May 29, 2024 HI, is this only when transcoding is occurring? If yes, then you could try the server transcoding option called audio boost when downmixing. Is downmixing occurring in this session? I'd have to see the ffmpeg log as well. thanks.

Flest 8 Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 I was wrong, there is a problem with other TV series and films, if the track is AC3, the volume in the emby will be much lower
Luke 42077 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 HI, what version of the Emby app? How have you configured audio settings in the app?

I tried the web client, the sound is transcoded and the volume is normal direct play of AC3 - problem but direct play of FLAC (2nd audio track of the video) - no problems maybe the problem is in the client side mixing 5.1 to 2.0? I tried another series with AC3 BUT with 2.0 and the volume is normal Edited June 2, 2024 by Flest
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 Well that is the App Store version, so you do not have the options the dev is referring to as they are in the Desktop version. Personally, would retest in Desktop version. Emby Theater - Emby

Emby Theater - Emby lol This app is much better! but... the sound is still a little quieter than in media player classic (but just a little bit, maybe 3-6 db) and more quieter than when playing in a web client with downmixes AC3-MP3, but it's not critical, the sound can be heard normally, unlike the previous application...
