Hi Luke

when I am at work, I keep my phone in pocket, and with headphones on I would ask Siri to play some music and Siri would start playing music from my Emby library,

now when I ask Siri to play some music the response I get is I can’t find that in your Emby library.

however when I get home and ask the HomePod to some music it will play music from my Emby library no problem.

What exact commands did you give to Siri?

Play some music - and normal it would play randomly from the Emby library

I have tried to ask Siri to a specific song

and a specific album

but I get the same response I can’t find that in your Emby library.

these commands work when on same network as the server.

also I can still access the Emby server from phone remotely just for some reason Siri can’t,

my server was on the beta version, I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the stable version but hasn’t made and difference. I have no problem switching back to beta.

ports are open.

Hi Luke

Apple phone 13pro version 17.5.1

only happens when NOT on my home network.

hey siri play some music

response - i couldn’t find that in your Emby library .

hey siri play the song hello

response I could find hello in your Emby library.

when I ask the same questions on my house network

there is no issue.

i find it odd because it had been working no problems then one day it just stopped. I was hoping some in the logs I uploaded would give us an answer.

thanks for still trying to help Luke.

it’s appreciated.

So you said “some music”?

Hi Luke

normally when I ask Siri to “play some Music” Siri will start to play random songs from the Emby library

and this still works on local network.

Hi Luke

I gave up on it last week, and switched back to Apple Music,

Can you give it another try?

That’s no problem, when I get home later I will turn back on my music library, and try again remotely. I will keep you posted.

Hi Luke

Sorry still get the same response.

Siri response unable to find (name of song or album) in your emby library.

I have full remote access if was to manually search and play song, but for some reason Siri is not longer able to.

it would be interesting to see if any body else is able to ask Siri to play a song or album from there Emby library while on 4/5g

Hi Luke

update is not just music it movies as well

when asking Siri on my phone using remote connection.

when I ask siri play Thor on Emby

when asking Siri play song on Emby

the get the Same response unable to find that in your Emby library.
but as soon as I connect to my local network

ask the questions as above and they work no problem,

Just thought it could be remote communication problem, but I can still access watch and listen to Emby remotely, It’s the voice controls that stop.
