KZWings 5 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 OS: TrueNAS-13.0-U2 Emby: 4.8.6 (jail 12.2-RELEASE-p15) Emby scans and finds new media, but does not add to the library. I've been running Emby in a jail for years without issue. I believe this started when I upgraded from Emby version 4.7.14 to version 4.8.0. This is affecting all media libraries (movies, music, etc) Full server log attached. Recurring errors: 2024-05-25 04:01:31.236 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 1 - Failed Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Unified.Ffmpeg.FfRunException: Emby.Server.MediaEncoding.Unified.Ffmpeg.FfRunException: Error running ffprobe 2024-05-25 04:01:31.239 Info MediaProbeManager: ProcessRun 'ffprobe' Process exited with code 1 - Failed 2024-05-25 04:01:31.240 Error App: Error in ffprobe Thanks for any suggestions! embyserver.txt
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Don't know anything about it but will guess this. ld-elf.so.1: /lib/libc.so.7: version FBSD_1.7 required by /usr/local/lib/emby-server/lib/libavutil.so.57 not found
KZWings 5 Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Good find! However, looks like there is a larger issue affecting the jail. The jail couldn't install libavutil. It also cannot update or upgrade and out of date packages.

KZWings 5 Posted May 26, 2024 Author Posted May 26, 2024 Unfortunately, I am not sure why. I suppose these issues could be related. I'm a novice at TrueNAS, but I can do some digging.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Don't know if this topic will help or not as it has the same error. 1
Luke 42077 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 @KZWingsplease let us know if that topic helps. Thanks !
Solution KZWings 5 Posted May 27, 2024 Author Solution Posted May 27, 2024 I believe I resolved this issue. Turned out this was all because I let the jail get way out of date. 12.2-RELEASE went end of life October 27, 2020. Updated the jail: iocage upgrade -r 13.2-RELEASE emby Updated/upgraded packages pkg update pkg upgrade Restarted the jail, scanned library, refreshed metadata just because, seems to be working now. So... keep your jails up to date Thanks everyone 2
