I bought the Movie & TV Theme Videos plug-in. I ran the download for TV theem videos...BUT..

I've enabled Enable theme videos, but now what?

I go to the TV Series and I see NO them video playing. I look in the folder and there is a BACKDROP folder with a theme.mkv in it..but how does it work and where?

I am using a Roku Ultra

UPDATE:

TV Video Theme seems to be working in the WEB app under chrome, but NOT on the Roku?

Are the Movie/TV video themse NOT supported for Roku?

Hi.  The Roku does not support theme videos at this time.  Perhaps in the future but, with the Roku platform this would not be simple and this is a very little-used feature due to the fact that there is no free, legal source for these items to automate.

does the TRAILERS plug-in add trailers to my tv and movie library OR is it random trailers?

The trailers plugin in the catalog adds a Trailers library and channel. It does not add trailer buttons to your movies. The trailers are then presented under the trailer channel.

There is a way. The same person who wrote the Movie & Theme songs plugin also has a private plugin offered in their signature to obtain trailers so the entire process works within Emby. Cannot be hosted on the catalog for legal reasons but you can get it from his website.

You can also use the stand-alone application Media Companion to obtain trailers with your media.

Once you store these locally with your media the Roku will provide a trailers button to play them.

That sounds easier than getting from YouTube and renaming and putting in the folder

UGH..i'd have to ssh to put that .dll file in the plugin folder...grrr synology

Just FYI for trailers, the server tries to find YT trailers and provide those but the Roku cannot play them for both technical and legal reasons.  If you have local trailers as files in your library, the Roku can play those.
