noybman 9 Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 I recently had some hardware issues, short story? Avoid the INTEL 14TH gen CPUs. Trust me, for the love of god... avoid them. (PS: I never overclock and have NO interest in it). As a result of the above, I had to redo my entire library, scan everthing in again. like 2100 movies, 700 shows (with 8 - 50 episodes per season... yeah, many thousands of video files). The scans take quite a while, and I've only recently started looking at the log files. Everything seems to work and the video files it "errors" on seems to play fine. So what could be the cause of the following errors, and how do I resolve it? 2024-05-25 00:02:37.289 Info App: \\192.168.1.21\media_T\TV\Bones\Season.03 has 2 episodes with audio fingerprints available 2024-05-25 00:02:37.289 Error App: Error reading cached extradata *** Error Report *** Version: 4.8.7.0 Command line: C:\Users\media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10.0.22631 Framework: .NET 6.0.30 OS/Process: x64/x64 Runtime: C:/Users/media/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll Processor count: 24 Data path: C:\Users\media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Application path: C:\Users\media\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException: System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException: Type definitions should start with a '{', expecting serialized type 'SequenceDetectionResult', got string starting with: adataPath%\library\b9\b94e85c9a18384b0679798560e0b at ServiceStack.Text.Common.DeserializeTypeRefJson.StringToType(ReadOnlySpan`1 strType, TypeConfig typeConfig, EmptyCtorDelegate ctorFn, KeyValuePair`2[] typeAccessors) in /home/runner/work/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.Text/src/ServiceStack.Text/Common/DeserializeTypeRefJson.cs:line 175 at ServiceStack.Text.Json.JsonReader`1.Parse(ReadOnlySpan`1 value) in /home/runner/work/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.Text/src/ServiceStack.Text/Json/JsonReader.Generic.cs:line 104 at ServiceStack.Text.Json.JsonReader`1.Parse(String value) in /home/runner/work/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.Text/src/ServiceStack.Text/Json/JsonReader.Generic.cs:line 84 at ServiceStack.Text.JsonSerializer.DeserializeFromString[T](String value) in /home/runner/work/ServiceStack/ServiceStack/ServiceStack.Text/src/ServiceStack.Text/JsonSerializer.cs:line 47 at Emby.Providers.Markers.SequenceDetection.DetectSequences(FingerprintInfo fingerprint1Info, String episodePresentationUniqueKey, SeasonFingerprintInfo seasonFingerprintInfo, BaseItem season, IDirectoryService directoryService, ILogger logger, IServerApplicationHost applicationHost, IJsonSerializer jsonSerializer) Source: ServiceStack.Text TargetSite: System.Object StringToType(System.ReadOnlySpan`1[System.Char], ServiceStack.Text.TypeConfig, ServiceStack.EmptyCtorDelegate, System.Collections.Generic.KeyValuePair`2[System.String,ServiceStack.Text.Common.TypeAccessor][]) 2024-05-25 00:02:37.289 Debug App: Caching intro fingerprint as extradata for 65041 - ||||{"Confidence":0} I would like to go down the path of ZERO errors in my library. Whish me luck! but if there is some advanced posts or info I can start to educate myself on, I'd love to see what I can do.
Lessaj 467 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 I've seen something similar to this before, I think it's mostly harmless and will probably not repeat, but it is probably a bug. BTW you'll probably never achieve zero errors since things can get logged like when TVDB API was down yesterday that logged some errors, but I agree with checking if there are errors in your logs, understanding what the errors mean, and resolving what's possible.
Luke 42080 Posted May 26, 2024 Posted May 26, 2024 Hi, please attach the complete Emby server log file. Thanks.
