User data migration

Setting up a new server where lib paths are not the same. However, Users will be the same as current/old server.

Any thoughts for migrating users watched data to new server? found some GH projects that allow this moving to another media server so thinking this is also possible emby to emby?

Thanks

If premiere user, make a backup on old server assume same version (backup and restore plugin).  Then on new server point to that backup and extract user data and restore.

If not premiere I think your only option is extracting table from database and importing into new database manually.  Note with this process you have to ensure the users have the same db id per server as the users.db assigns them db ids.

Premiere user yes. already restored before asking the question.. the watched status was not included.

My understanding, based on the KB, that libs paths had to be same?

which file in the backup folder is the userdata?

Sorry I do not follow, what exactly did you do?  As a restore by default takes the databases from previous sure and applies them to new server so all the information remains.

May need to see the server logs from when you restored also.
