plittlefield 56 Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 When a user pauses playback, I’m notified that they have stopped playing. Is there a setting where I can change the delay or how long the server thinks they’ve actually stopped playing for?
Luke 42077 Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 HI, it's not when immediately pausing, but after that, right?
plittlefield 56 Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Hang on, let me time it now. ( Paul pauses Slow Horses episode 1 ) Exactly 1 minute.
Lessaj 467 Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Did this playback involve transcoding? I see in my logs when a user pauses after 1 minute it considers it "idle" and kills off the ffmpeg process and it says they stopped playing on the dashboard. When I direct play on my nvidia shield for example, or in theater, it will stay in a paused state for a very long time.
plittlefield 56 Posted September 27, 2024 Author Posted September 27, 2024 This is still happening … when any user pauses playback, after about a minute, my notification is triggered for a stopped playback action. I’m currently watching some content that the server is transcoding audio from EAC3 to AC3 to play on my Roku. I’ll pause playback now, and start the stopwatch … …. exactly 1 minute. Is there a setting I can charge for this? i don’t want any notifications for pauses! Thanks, Paully
Luke 42077 Posted September 28, 2024 Posted September 28, 2024 Hi, yes we are looking into improving this. Thanks.
