Does any, or all, Android clients not auto-exit after time?

I have several Emby clients some Android based and some Roku. The Rokus will automatically exit after a period of time and that behavior is fine but I have a use that I would like to use Emby for that requires that the client be willing to sit, with playback paused, for a long period of time. The Rokus are unsuitable for that use and even the Fire TV would be hard to use because it does not have its own storage or the ability to take addon devices directly. I could resurrect my old Shield TV or acquire another device for my needs but i just want to know going in if the timeout intrusion that Roku has does not exist with whatever device I choose. 

BTW: Remote access is meaningless for my needs.

Thank you very much but, I foolishly asked the question in such a way where a 'yes" or a "no" response becomes ambiguous. So I will re-ask the direct question so i can understand the answer:

Do the Android clients auto exit after a period of time?
(I suspect the answer will be the same but my questionable wording of the question makes the answer questionable.  )

I really need to simplify my wording on some things.

Thanks, that is the answer i gleaned from your earlier answer. it is only my denseness that asked you to repeat it. 

Now to think through what i think I want to do so I can do it, i think. I know i need to make some changes to my overall setup, but I do not know exactly what is best for me to do and, at my age, doing something just to test and dismantle it is not near as "fun" as it used to be.

Actually, the Android TV/Fire TV apps do have a setting for this.
