doggypatch 2 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 I currently have Emby Windows v. 4.8.7.0. installed. I just created a playlist on one of my Emby user accounts. In the past, the playlist would show across all user accounts, now they do not. I see my old playlist in all user accounts, but new ones only show in the account that created it. I looked up where the metadata is stored and the difference I see is the folder is now "userplaylists" vs "playlists". When I try to copy the new playlist from userplaylist into playlist, I get the same results ... and vice-versa. Is this something new that playlist are unique to each user? If so, how can I duplicate (import/export?) the same playlist to another user? Thanks in advance.
Lessaj 467 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Did you enable the option to share them for your user?
doggypatch 2 Posted May 20, 2024 Author Posted May 20, 2024 I did not. But I applied it on your recommendation. Still it does not work. I ensured all my libraries were shared. Still no go. I restarted the server. No change. I thought, maybe I have to create it after I share. I did a test Playlist. Still does not work.
Solution Luke 42080 Posted May 20, 2024 Solution Posted May 20, 2024 Hi, in 4.8 playlists are private per user. now that you’ve checked that box, try using the 3 dot menu to manage collaboration for that playlist.
doggypatch 2 Posted May 20, 2024 Author Posted May 20, 2024 Thanks Luke! That was it! I generally view release notes when I have a problem, but in my haste I did not check there. Thanks again! 1
doggypatch 2 Posted May 20, 2024 Author Posted May 20, 2024 Yes, I marked it as a solution. Sorry for the delay 1
