3mbyuser 0 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Hi, Is there any way to whitelist my public ip address on emby server using my DDNS syno? Thanks.
3mbyuser 0 Posted May 19, 2024 Author Posted May 19, 2024 I have two Synology NAS at two different addresses, I have configured DDNS for WAN access And I would like to use a DDNS to whitelist my dynamic ip
Q-Droid 989 Posted May 19, 2024 Posted May 19, 2024 Is this about NAS-to-NAS connections or are you trying to automate updating the whitelist in Emby for the remote dynamic IP? If it's for Emby then I think the call to update the value might be available in the API under ConfigurationService. You'd have to work out the details of monitoring DDNS for the IP change and the call to change it in Emby. An alternative would be a point-to-point tunnel since you would only be able to use Emby from the one location.
3mbyuser 0 Posted May 19, 2024 Author Posted May 19, 2024 Yes its that, i want to automate the remote dynamic ip on my whitelist using Syno DDNS (client side). Could this feature be added in the future ? @Carlo Thanks.
