Android app vs Andriod TV

I know the dev's are working hard to combine these two apps, not sure that's a good thing but that's what we have.

As performance goes (playback/pause/UI...) it seems to be ok... BUT one thing I miss from the ATV version is the slide transition in the main menu/library's, it's just too clunky at the mo transition wise with the standard android app! It needs a slide animation to smooth that out.

ATV is not a touch device (10f device) and I don't know why they decided to go this way..

i Still cant understand that in android app there is no next episode button in video OSD, you need to make 4-5 clicks to get to menu and find next menu and click it....

And funny thing is if u play music in same android app than there is next button in video OSD, consistency something that's been out of emby for years unfortunately.

Yeah they have a way to go! But still is this the right direction to take? What is there motivation to combine the to platforms? It seems strange to me personally..

There is, you just need to not 'Hide video player transport buttons' in your app settings under 'Playback'

And this is on by default ? Unbelievable. It was on Auto whatever that means.......

Didn't even know about this option, since on ATV there was no similar. Thanks for point it out.

Hi, music and video are going to be different. Forcing one to be like the other will lead to a subpar experience.

Controls like skip to next are fundamental stuff in OSD video player, being music or tv series or whatever . What buttons can we expect in video OSD when watching porn ?
