Hi, I would love to try 4.9.0.30 beta on macOS, but we don’t have the macOS version on that, I can only stay .14 since it’s the latest macOS beta I can try

Thanks @keemy and @alado70839 for trying out the later ffmpeg build for Mac M1/M2. Can you tell me if there are any new problems seen since switching to the newer build?

Excepting the existing problems, there is more lagging when enabling the Hardware transcoding on H264 files than software transcoding when doing remote streaming far for home. However, it’s the same issue as previous builds

Hi, has it been fixed or not yet ? I'm about to buy a Mac mini m4 to run Emby cause I have issue with my Lenovo with intel i5 6500-t it doesn't hardware transcode hevc 10bits

I have an M4 Mac and although is only using software transcoding I haven't been able to make it lag. Is very powerful even without using its hardware for transcoding

@AJV_20What types of Clients are you running and what type of media? i.e., I just got the M4, plays great on most clients, except for our main TV which we use primarily. Which is a brand new Sony 65" 4K TV running Android OS. On that, and only on that client I have issues. It freezes about 15-20 minutes into playback of a 4K title.

I stream multiple 4K streams often. All my devices are connected through Ethernet which helps. Is your tv on WiFi? It could be that the bitrate is too high for the WiFi connection

The TV is connected via WiFi. On my old i3 server it streamed the exact same 4K movies and had no issues. This is what ChatGPT is telling me…
