diaz1510 154 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 (edited) I've got season 2 of Outer Range I'm trying to auto organize. The show was downloaded as "O.R.s02e01........" I've got season 1 in my library already. Emby is trying to match the show to "The Orville" which I also have in my library. It isn't auto-organizing because I already have a season 2 in The Orville, which is fine, but there is no way to manually select Outer Range as the show I want to Smart Match to. Or maybe I'm missing something. I don't really like the new Auto organize interface, tbh...it doesn't feel as intuitive or as easy to use... What am I missing? Am I simply doing it wrong? How can I manually change which show I want to match it to like it used to be able to? There used to be a folder icon to click on which would open a dialog box to manually select which show in my library to smart match it to...what happened to that dialog box? The target path should be "L:\TV Shows 04\Outer Range (2022)\Season 02\........." There is no way to change the target path... Edited May 17, 2024 by diaz1510
Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Given that the naming of O.R. is not obvious, I would say your best bet is to use the 3-dot menu to select the option to organize manually.

Unless I am completely missing a DIFFERENT set of 3 dots. When I select "organize" from the 3 dots, it just gives me the option to file it under "The Orville" and I don't get any option to select anything different. So what am I missing here? I'm never given the opportunity to select a different series. And I know the error is because episode 1 of season 2 for The Orville already exists and I have Emby setup to skip episodes that already exist. Edited May 17, 2024 by diaz1510
Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 OK I see what's going on. When no series is detected at all, then you get a more robust dialog that lets you search for a series. When the series is already detected, this is what you get. I wonder if we can just display the bigger dialog in all cases.
Solution Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2024 Solution Posted May 17, 2024 Here is a test build where you can try that: Emby.AutoOrganize.zip 1

Yeah, until one of the recent updates, that dialog box used to open for all cases. That changed along the line somewhere. The update you just gave me works 100%, Thanks! Luke 42077 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Yes the only thing is that some will see it as a lot of extra clicks. What we need is some sort of hybrid that gets prefilled with all of the detected info. Then most of the time you’ll just be opening the dialog and clicking OK. 1
MrLinford 62 Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 To help an Auto Organize you should include an ID. Since I moved to this naming scheme I have not had one mismatch. For TV I use: {Series TitleYear} - S{season:00}E{episode:00} - {Episode CleanTitle} [{Quality Full}]{[MediaInfo VideoDynamicRangeType]}{[Mediainfo AudioCodec}{ Mediainfo AudioChannels]}{[MediaInfo VideoCodec]} Single Episode: The Series Title's! (2010) - S01E01 - Episode Title 1 [WEBDL-1080p Proper][DTS 5.1][AVC] Multi Episode: The Series Title's! (2010) - S01E01-E03 - Episode Title [WEBDL-1080p Proper][DTS 5.1][AVC] For Movies: {Movie CleanTitle} {(Release Year)} [imdbid-{ImdbId}] - {Edition Tags} {[Quality Full]}{[MediaInfo 3D]}{[MediaInfo VideoDynamicRangeType]}{[Mediainfo AudioCodec}{ Mediainfo AudioChannels]}{[Mediainfo VideoCodec]} Movie: The Movie Title (2010) [imdbid-tt0066921] - Ultimate Extended Edition [Bluray-1080p Proper][3D][DTS 5.1][AVC]
