quickmic 1703 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 First things first. "Emby" Tags... ... are completely a different matter than media tags/icons... Let's start with the first one. Emby Tags should be synced to Kodi. How do you access them? Did you try browsing via plugins "run" menu -> "synced nodes" -> content -> "by tags" Are they available there? 1
supermood 71 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 crazy xxxx!! as I said, many things to learn for me.... something is def here thanks for your help!! and if you in the future somehow manage to have icons for it visible on the video info screen... ah no, that's not possible I forgot these are now my emby tags from emby but even if they are in kodi, they are not kodi tags, and these are also not video tags.... thank you for your help!! I can use my xxx tags!!!
quickmic 1703 Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) Quote they are not kodi tags, and these are also not video tags.. If you see those tags by selecting "synced nodes", they are absolutely "regular" Kodi tags. It's up to your skin to show those. ...Still not taking about (media) icons in Kodi. As mentioned, totally different matter. Edited May 16, 2024 by quickmic
supermood 71 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I don't even know how to get there. one sec I will try again. I found these via video hub menu in the skin, pre last entry is tags
supermood 71 Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 cannot find it I don't have an Plugin to run or called menu and in the Plugin menu I have settings and notifications and so but no sync info.. I found 'tagline' is synced with your addon. and I can checkbox tagline in the skin. so all I need is a sync of my emby tags in the taglines incl the icons from me
quickmic 1703 Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 Use the default skin (estuary) -> settings -> addons -> my addons -> video addons -> Emy for kodi next gen -> "open"
quickmic 1703 Posted May 16, 2024 Author Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) All nodes listed under "synced nodes" are pure native Kodi database "filters". How the skin shows them is not related to the plugin, the point is. If they are correctly listed there, it's successfully and correctly synced. When you customize the Skin, you should always use those nodes. Edited May 16, 2024 by quickmic

I have many like true HD... no idea which info the skin is using for these. and I don't care.. happy day! 1

supermood 71 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 why are there dynamic? any other advantages? thanks!
quickmic 1703 Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Dynamic nodes can be used for unsynced content and for content not possible to sync e.g. photos. Also they might include filters just not possible by Kodi. 1
supermood 71 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Thanks! not I realized any issue or slow performance but it seems I should change everything again..
quickmic 1703 Posted May 17, 2024 Author Posted May 17, 2024 Performance depends on the library size and on the nodes you are using. Also if you have the content synced anyway, the dynamic nodes works in a "hybrid" mode. The "root" content of a dynamic node always queried from Emby server. Sub-content of a dynamic node may partially loaded from Kodi database. 1
supermood 71 Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 I'm out. to technical I don't have any other or additional kodi DB, only your addon and emby data, so I don't need dynamic. will change sometime. thanks and best, 1
