tisron13 2 Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 being of the curious sort, I thought I'd try Jellyfin to see what it was like. In order to install I uninstalled Emby and the installed Jellyfin. (both use port 8096, and two can't use same port). Jellyfin was okay, but dialogue always tended to be out of synch, with no way to fix. So I uninstalled Jellyfin, and reinstalled Emby. I thought everything would be fine, but alas no. Emby now refuses to connect. Anybody have any ideas as to why this has occured? Server is available on PC, and EzConnect (only from PC tho'), but not on any other devices. Thanks in advance, Embra
Solution Jägs 85 Posted May 16, 2024 Solution Posted May 16, 2024 The uninstall process in ADM does not always remove everything, so you might be experiencing some sort of conflict. One thing you can try is to completely uninstall Emby/Jellyfin. You can try my instructions here:

I used 'PuTTY to enter the commands then installed & ran Emby, and it worked, so many thanks for that. I now know what to do in future if this happens again. Subject is now closed 1
