adpopulum 2 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hi all, I am looking into getting Emby Live TV setup using an existing Hauppauge HVR-2250 PCI-e card in a machine running OMV 6 (or 7), not Windows. I know Live TV & DVR require an active Emby Premiere subscription which I will get if I can forsee setting this up. A quick look at LiveTV setup in the app does not list any Hauppauge device under TV Sources, just HDHomeRun and M3u, leading me to believe the card requires fw and/or linux drivers (lspci does not show the card). Hauppage does not have drivers for Debian 11 (just ubuntu) but suggest most Linux kernels after 4.0 include the Hauppauge drivers, but they need to be added manually. Anybody using Live TV with Emby running in Docker on OMV? If so, can you walk me through the steps or point me in the right direction?
Q-Droid 989 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Emby doesn't support hauppauge on Linux. What most do is install tvheadend to handle the card and tuning then Emby can pull an m3u Playlist from tvh for the channel streams.
