Unable to unlock app on fire stick

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

You need to confirm that the device can interact with the Amazon store.

I have been able to set up Amazon Prime with the fire stick. 

I am still getting the frozen screen at "unlock app"

That is not an in-app product so I'm not sure if that is the same process.

Can you attempt to purchase an in-app product in any other app?  You don't have to go all the way through with the purchase.  Just see if you can get to where you would finalize it.

It doesn't really matter as I just want to confirm that you are able to do so.  It can be any app that has a premium version you purchase in-app or coins or anything.  Again, you don't need to go through with the purchase, just see if you get farther than you do with our app.

The 'Emby' version on Amazon does not have the option to unlock the App. 

The 'Emby for FireTV' does. 

The latter is a much older version of the app (v2.9.98a), whereas the 'Emby' app is v3.3.86 doesn't allow an unlock (take my money!)

Screenshots from the very, very different UI experiences. The newer one is not unlockable... and I'm begging for it to be on its next release please!!

I still don't know what app you are suggesting. Prime works, but you say that isn't the same. You Tube works as well, but you are going to say thats through Google. What app would i use to buy something on fire stick that isn't linked to another subscription service?

It seems to be your app that is not working, can you not reset it to my account?

When you press that button, we transfer to the Amazon store and it takes it from there.  That's why I'm trying to see if something may be blocking that access on the device.  Like it was not purchased in the region it is actually in or it is running on an Amazon profile that doesn't allow store access, etc.

I think a lot of games may have in-app purchases that are the same process.

The screen freezes on the Unlock App button then after a few minutes resets to screen saver from where you can return to home screen for Emby. (same as the previous thread I quoted at the beginning of my thread.)

I don't have any games apps.

Okay, try this.  Do that process and when you come back to Emby after the freeze  follow the instructions to send a log from the app

Okay, you have sideloaded the app.  A sideloaded app cannot interact with the store.

We need to make it so it doesn't crash but that is the problem.  You will need to install from the store.

I'm sorry. I don't understand what you mean. What is side loading? Where is "from the store"?

The version of the app you have has to have been manually installed on the device via an APK.  Instead, you have to search the store and install from there.

OK, I've done that. 

Now I can get past the unlock app, but when I try & pay it repeatedly says;

"An error occurred while processing your purchase"

This occurred initially after entering payment details , but now on clicking "verify & pay"

Those messages are coming from Amazon.  Can you ask them about it?
