Chillout 110 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 My library refresh scans have gone from 2-min to 18-min after adding 20,000 .strm's. Is this just the new norm or is there something wrong? The original library was around 3,000 of live m3u and .strm files. The library scan took around 2-min. After adding 20k movie .strm's and a painful 24hr library scan I figured things would get back to normal but seems each scan with no new media is taking quite a bit longer. I went through the library to manually identify/fix files that were missing metadata so everything should be clean...
Luke 42080 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hi there, let’s look at an example: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
ebr 16185 Posted May 13, 2024 Posted May 13, 2024 Hi. So you increased your library size by a factor of 7+ and the scan is also taking roughly that much longer?
Chillout 110 Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Yup, thats about right... If that is the expected result then that is the answer. I just assumed the scans were only looking for any changes and the number of existing items was less relevant.

It is definitely still a good idea to provide a log for Luke to look at because we may be able to spot something (like a plug-in or other configuration) that could help.
