uninstall emby / reinstall in a certain directory Synology DSM 7.2

Is there away to REMOVE emby from Synolgy DSM 7.2.

Then create a shared folder called EMBYSVR

and re-install into THAT folder

Hi, it should just be a matter of removing the synology package from dsm and then manually deleting the server data folder:

thats it... it would so much easy is synolgy would let you JUST uninstall.. the SSH is a pain

hmm...after unisntalling from synoligy package center and SSH..there is no embyserver

 

 

Hoever when I did a reinstall...all settings were there..It did not do a fresh install..

what am I missing?

this was the path:

Version    4.8.6.0
Folders
Program Data - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var
Cache - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/cache
Metadata - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/metadata
Logs - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/logs
Transcoding Temporary Files - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/transcoding-temp

Any help would be great... Emby server folder not available to delete.

How did you look for the folder to delete?

powershell 

looked under the path  /var/packages/EmbyServer/

but it was not there to delete

this is what I looked from the emby dashboard to find the location:

Version    4.8.6.0
Folders
Program Data - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var
Cache - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/cache
Metadata - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/metadata
Logs - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var/logs

I upgraded to DSM7.2 sometime ago.. the Emby Server Data Folder tutorial no longer applies since EmbyServer goes to Program Data - /var/packages/EmbyServer/var

but still any ideas?

OMG..i am SO BLIND..ok

cd /volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer

do I deleted the whole folder; if so it will not let me..

Had to use rm -r EmbyServer

and it removed the directory.

NOW the main question...

Can I re-install Emby in a folder that I desire?..If not thats OK
