What is "it" ? How/what are you playing?

:) - let's start over. I'm using Vantage Point for cinema intros because it only looks in the path I tell it. Extra files I never want when using emby cinema...,

Ok, so, In this example I'm using The file Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein as the Feature Film so I add the trailer tags, the movie short tags and the B movie tag and the countdown tag to it. I have the tags is a specific folder path path. Inside that folder I make more folder just to keep it neat and able to find things fast. I have a folder for Trailers, movie shorts and B movies, and assorted intro stuff. All these files are either .strm files or symlink files. Let's take the Three Stooges as an example of movie a short. I build it with .strm or .symlink just like the real files including the .nfo, .bif etc... I add the filename without the extension to the main feature film as a tag. and then add the others.. Vantage point sees the tag and plays the file.. When all tags are played the feature film plays

Inside Vantage point I only add Tags

and you add the tags inside Vantage point one time, not one for every tag.

Well I have my fix in place so no biggie, but how about the lock feature? even locked items get sorted alphabetically.. someway to choose sorted or dragged the way you want and save it so it's locked.. whatever.

And here's the reason in a picture... A playlist to enjoy double features with serial chapters to easily watch in order.

Curious what do you mean by this?

I'd have to go play with it again but I'm very certain it was setup basically the same as Vantage Point where you can choose to match a codec or filename etc, and you pick a path for the cinema intro to find files. Even doing that gave me files from other paths where I had trailers. But to be sure I'll go mess with it and let you, know.

I'm also curious why anyone would want tags alphabetized. I use the tags the way I use them but maybe used in a different manner requires it to be alphabetical. The "YOU MAY ALSO LIKE" feature maybe. Maybe some other manner I might actually want it in alphabetical order... I only see things as a programmer and have no clue how to make business decisions about features being bloat etc. If there's a good reason to write tags in alphabetical order then I see it as placing a slider button on/off on being alphabetical and off would be listed order where the drag handles light up. That would allow the nfos to be written the way the user wants.. And you already have the code for right click up/down - drag up and down - and now alphabetical.

ok, the randomness was my mistake from trying it early on before really getting familiar. I uncheck the include trailers form other areas or however it was worded. I tried it using the same path I use with Vantage Point and it works partially and not sure why, but with these alphabetical tags it randomly picks ONE tag before the movie. Folder structure? Something else I'm missing with ebmy With Vantage Point all I need to se the path is the main folder, and inside that I can make more folder and sub folders and Vantage Point finds the filename if it exist.

@Lukeare there any invisible characters that can be used to force sorting in a specific way?

I have some tags in an NFO file like below:

 <tag>Not available on this device</tag>

 <tag>‌Available on Netflix</tag>

I'd like them sorted in that order, as any other order doesn't quite make sense.

Those characters are invisible spaces, but they don't seem to be preserved when entered into emby. What range of characters are supported that I can use instead?

Hi, what makes you think they are not preserved?

I'm not saying they should or shouldn't. It's just not something we've tested before. Thanks.

Just that the sort doesn't end up in the order if expect.
