PGL 2 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Hello, Anyone else having problems regarding subtitles in version 0.9.7? - There is no subtitles. version 0.9.5 is working streaming subtitles.... Is there a fix to this problem? Thanks.
xnappo 1611 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Sounds like for some reason it is playing from http/transcoding. Check that play from http is of, and maybe change network speed to 1000mbps. If that doesn't fix it set debug to level 1 and post a log. xnappo
xnappo 1611 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Yes, but set debug log to 1 in the xbmb3c settings.
PGL 2 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 The log can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c7ek8s33w6h9rbi/01_XBMC.log?dl=0 Thank you
xnappo 1611 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 It is definitely transcodingbfor some reason, but can't debug further as I am at Disney World Hopefully one of the other guys can help. Make sure you are using UNC paths, but 0.9.5 would not have worked if you weren't.
PGL 2 Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 Thank you for the help so far :-) I will wait until someone gets time to look at my log file, have a nice day in Disney Land.
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 @@PGL We need more information, what version of MBS are you using? Is your htpc outside the network? It seems your XBMB3C is pointing to an external address instead of a local one while your paths are starting with D:\ instead of a UNC share path \\server-name\
PGL 2 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 The version of the server is; 3.0.5424.1 The version of XBMB3C is; 0.9.7, it is noticeable that the subtitles did work brilliant in version 0.9.5. XBMB3C is pointing to a ip adress, streaming from a server, not located on the local network.
xnappo 1611 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Right, which means it is having a permissions problem, or is set up to play from http instead of smb. Possibly try deleting the addon settings xml file and starting the xbmb3c setup from scratch. We can assure you this is not inherent to 0.9.7, it is some sort of configuration problem. xnappo [EDIT] Please post your setting.xml file somewhere before deleting it. PGL 2 Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 SOLVED: The problem is now solved, as you said it was a Path Substitution problem, now it is working, But very weird that there was no problem with version 0.9.5 - no changes was made on the server after upgrading to 0.9.7. Thank you for your help. 1
xnappo 1611 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Glad you got it working, agree it is weird it worked with 0.9.5..
PGL 2 Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Glad you got it working, agree it is weird it worked with 0.9.5.. Could you maybe help me with another problem? - My clients in my new setup only can connect to the server on the internet side, i get a connection error on the lan side, if i am trying to connect, same error on IOS, XBMB3C etc. In XBMB3C i get: URL ERROR: Unable to connect to server, The log says: 22:42:32 T:2583688272 NOTICE: Unable to connect to 192.168.11.2:8096 : [Errno 113] No route to host 22:42:32 T:2583688272 NOTICE: Get User unable to connect to 192.168.11.2:8096 : [Errno 113] No route to host 22:42:32 T:2583688272 NOTICE: ===== XBMB3C STOP ===== I have been tryin to kill the Firewall, and the home Network is set to private.
