Flac playing not visible in Now Playing part of Emby admin dashboard

Just noticed this morning......

Playing 24bit flac music, at the start of playing it is visible in Now playing, after 1 second it is gone, but in activity log below u can see that playback is in progress.

Will test on other formats, but in this test case it is 24 bit flac music.

details:

Server 4.9.0.18 beta, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Client: ATV App, 2.1.12G

Until i gather all logs here is a screen showing 2 plays but no music playing visible in Now Playing section.

Easy to reproduce.....

In web app (browser) playing same file playing progress is normal, it is visible, so smells like ATV app...

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Installed Emby android 3.3.86, no issues , visible fine in now playing...same file...

Question, if user on google unlocked ATV app, and then switched to this new Emby android 3.3.86, that app is also unlocked ?

My guess is no, since its another app.

They should fix ATV app.

SInce its a beta app, guess they can't charge you to use it.

But you need premier to unlock play back.

Its fubar tbh.
