darkassassin07 652 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 Disable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) in your routers settings. It allows devices on your lan to create port forwarding rules automatically.
Liron_ 1 Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 do you have any idea where i could find it? ik every router web page is different but a general idea where it could be?
Liron_ 1 Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 i think i found it yet i still cant change anything

Must be another options somewhere but from a Emby standpoint just uninstall the port mapper plugin and restart server and router. If you have already uninstalled Emby then restart your router.
Solution Liron_ 1 Posted May 8, 2024 Author Solution Posted May 8, 2024 (edited) it worked thank you i just needed to restart my router edit: disable UPnP and restart router after uninstalling Edited May 8, 2024 by Liron_ 1
justinrh 260 Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 I thought Emby had an option to use UPnP or not. I can't find a switch now. Was it ever there? Seems like Emby should ask before opening ports - is this done during install?

Settings>Network tab>"Enable automatic port mapping" tickbox. 9 minutes ago, justinrh said: Seems like Emby should ask before opening ports - is this done during install? Yes, you're explicity agreeing (or not) to automatically map ports during Startup Wizard. 1

I guess my Premiere license doesn't give me that option - it is not on my Network page. (And to be sure, also no switch at admin > Server > Settings.) So, if that option is (supposed to be) there, then that would be another way to solve the OP's issue? Edited May 10, 2024 by justinrh

Do you have Port Mapper plugin installed? Does your server has remote access enabled? As those are the only two scenarios I know of, where that option would not be visible, it is unrelated to Premiere subscription.
justinrh 260 Posted May 10, 2024 Posted May 10, 2024 (edited) yeah, I know my license has nothing to do with it, just being sarcastic. (Or is that 'dramatic'? ) Looks like I don't have the port mapper installed. I do have remote access enabled. Edited May 10, 2024 by justinrh

It comes included with the server, so you may have uninstalled it and forgotten that you did that. 1
