Multi-item cover images improved but not quite fixed

Thanks for the fix in 4.8.4 for generating multi-item cover images for Genres in Music Library. However:

1.This still doesn't seem to work for Playlists (either those manually created or those generated by Smart Playlist plugin).

2. For Genres, is there any way to bulk regenerate all of them, instead of having to manually delete and then manually refresh metadata/images one-by-one for each genre?

Library can't have image do to Parental Controls issues of single image for all users.  But will guess you are talking about playlists themselves, correct?

Multi-Select all Genre and Refresh w/replace image.

Yes, I was referring to cover image for playlists themselves - for some reason the Bebop one correctly generated weeks ago in 4.8.3, but none of the others regenerate correctly now (4.8.4) after multiple manual "delete primary/refresh images":

Thanks for multi-select/refresh tip for Genre images, but there is still a glitch, as Emby for some reason is using some album images and some artist/composer images, which is weirdly inconsistent and incorrect behavior (every album in my library has a cover.jpg as well as track-embedded cover images):

4.8.5 still has same problems with 1. Music Playlist cover images using only the first album cover image four times, and 2. Music Genre cover images using Composer or Album Artist images for some or all of the 4 panes.

Hi, try deleting the images for your current playlists and then refreshing the metadata on them.

Think some of the issue is adding entire albums but don't know how Emby chooses dynamic images.

Always get the same 4

Simple test correct as there is no other choice

Did that - problem still persists. Emby just regenerates the "4x first track's image" playlist covers.

That doesn't seem to be it - even when I sorted a playlist by something other than album, same glitch in generating new cover.

Got me as I get same 4 if first 4 are the same.  Consistently repeatable as I reordered again

Thanks for the tip @Happy2Play. This has been driving me crazy since the 4.8 upgrade.  I have noticed that SORT ORDER doesnt make any difference, I have to manually drag and drop them into the PLAYLIST ORDER.  Then delete image and refresh.  I can repeat this time and time again.  Thanks again.

Thanks @Happy2Play. @Lukethis appears to be different from Emby behavior for Libraries, where it seems to select four random images to blend into cover image. Reordering manually is awkward via phone/app interface, then needs to be manually reset to preserve original playlist order, and ideally wouldn't be necessary.

Yes it appears dynamic images only come from Playlist Order so Emby Sort option will not affect this.

So this will need a little tweaking if more than one album exists in playlist it needs to use image from different albums.

One other issue: there is no way to manually reorder a smart playlist, so there seems to be no way to regenerate a mixed-image cover. Never mind, figured that out by selecting playlist order then manually rendering. But still the same issues & frustration with manually reordering, then regenerating playlist cover, then manually putting tracks back where they were.
