Video version is not remembered while playing TV series

Hi,

I have 2 versions of TV series episodes - SDR and HDR. When I playback SDR one and episode finishes, the next episode being played but of HDR version.

Or when I stop playback by pressing Back on remote control, I see again HDR version selected back, though I was watching SDR one.

This is a common complaint, but is by design at present.  The multiple versions feature is assumed to enable Emby to choose the technically best version for the client type and connection speed.

Hi. Emby does not recognize that my tablet Samsung Galaxy 5Se has no HDR support. I read it used to have but Samsung has blocked it on software leevel for some reason. Anyway, if Emby picks the best option, can you add an option to client app that forcibly blocks any hdr content? Or tune this algorythm somehow?

Hi, yes this is an area we need to look at improving on. Thanks for the feedback.
