jglazer63 22 Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 (edited) I can read it and know what it means/says but I don't understand. I thought auto organize would look up the name on a TMDB or somewhere and place the file in the respective folder? It seems like it is trying to place a movie in a folder it expects to already exist? Luke 42083 Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Hi there, let’s look at a specific example: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
phoenix4 1 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 I'm in the same state of confusion but I don't think this is a "How to Report a Problem" situation. The question being asked is what is Auto Organise is supposed to do so that we can work out if there is a problem in the first place. If this is how the plugin is supposed to work (i.e. requires you to add the movie to your library manually first) then I'm missing the point of its existence.
Luke 42083 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 If I recall correctly I think by default out of the box, movies are manual and need to organized manually using the buttons in the activity log.
hifiaudio2 48 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Is this plug-in operating correctly anymore? It did exactly what I expected it to on my last Emby install where it could monitor a folder and then automatically grab files that were already given a proper naming convention and putting them into the correct movie or TV show folder for Emby to apply metadata to. I have reinstalled Emby on a new Synology and when using this plug-in I only get the error mentioned above in this thread. They're also used to be a way to manually identify a movie / TV show that's in the folder but that seems to be gone in the auto organize section. This plug-in doesn't seem to do anything correctly or use useful right now… Is this just me?
