Dreakon13 143 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 (edited) Seems to be a problem with 4.8.4.0 since everything I scanned in this morning after updating seems to be having issues (including media that previously scanned in successfully so I don't think it's a problem with the files necessarily). For this example in the log, I scanned a show folder back in that I previously moved out of the library, and tried playing an episode. Playback Error... No Audio/Subtitle Selections... Server Log... embyserver (2).txt Let me know if there's anything else I can provide to help Edited April 19, 2024 by Dreakon13
Lessaj 467 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Looks like your ffmpeg isn't working. Not familiar with synology for what you might need to do here but I guess you need to install an openCL package to get this SO. /var/packages/EmbyServer/target/bin/ffmpeg: error while loading shared libraries: libOpenCL.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Dreakon13 143 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 (edited) Synology isn't exactly friendly so if I can avoid hacking into it and trying to install packages it'd be ideal. Is this a new feature of 4.8.4.0? I'll reiterate that it was working fine on 4.8.3.0 Edited April 19, 2024 by Dreakon13
Lessaj 467 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 I just updated to 4.8.4.0 on my CentOS system and it also installed the package ocl-icd so yes this looks like it's new. Dreakon13 143 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 (edited) Ok, I'll see if the Emby team has any input on it, thanks for your help. I've never needed to separately install packages to get Emby to work on my DS220+ before so I'm guessing there's maybe an oversight here, so maybe I can help if they need input from a Synology owner. If I do have to fumble through installing weird stuff, I'll try to revert back to 4.8.3.0 if it lets me and revisit when I have more time. Edited April 19, 2024 by Dreakon13
jochenhonig 13 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 I have the same issue. This not what I had in mind when updating to the newest version. I also am using the x86_64 version for Synology.
17732 21 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 (edited) I'm using synology suite 4.8.4.0, so I can't watch all the videos. Edited April 19, 2024 by 17732

I had the same problems on synology with 4.8.4 and had to uninstall and reinstall 4.8.3. After reinstalling, everything worked perfectly and didn't even have to restore emby settings from backup. Super easy Edited April 19, 2024 by rekit 1
Solution Luke 42080 Posted April 19, 2024 Solution Posted April 19, 2024 HI, apologies for the disruption. Replacement builds are currently uploading so please redownload the release from our website, install, and you should be good to go. We'll also do a 4.8.5 this weekend to ensure everyone gets notified of the fix. Thanks. 1
Dreakon13 143 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 Grabbed the new Synology spk and everything is working now. Thanks Luke! 1
