mbo 12 Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Hello, i have two LG WebOS TV. One LG 65G1 and one LG 65C9 Hi there, I have two LG TVs. The LG 65G1 restarts the TV every time I open the Fallout series page in emby. I have recorded this in a short video. The LG 65C9, on the other hand, takes a few seconds to display the page, but can then display everything without any problems. The long waiting time is unusual. Here is the link to the video. And here are the server logs. Thank you LG 65G1 Reboot embyserver.txt
Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 HI, that's really odd. Does this series have theme songs or theme videos?

Can you try removing all the subs (try MkvToolnix) and see if that resolves it?
mbo 12 Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Wouldn't that be a problem if i am on a episode? It is crashing on loading the TV Show Overview. Not trying to start the show. (Browser view of the show is attached) The show has two audio tracks and three subtitles.

If it's crashing on trying to load the TV overview then that is odd. Try forcing a full refresh of the metadata for that file from the server (and allow it to replace existing images). It may not help, but worth a try - nothing to lose.

Sorry - that was what i did in first place. I am wondering about the long waiting time for the other TV. Thats the same behavior on a 2018 C model of a friend of mine.
mbo 12 Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Does anyone else have a G1 or newer that could help me reproduce the error on their device?
Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Can you try removing things from the show, such as backdrop images, poster image, etc. See if something eventually resolves it. That will help narrow it down.

SamES 1056 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 @Luke, can you please have a quick look at the server log in the first post, there are lots of 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Unable to find the specified file.' exceptions I don't know if these are related

Maybe you should introduce a maximum size for picture. Thx and best 2
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 (edited) @Lukeif that is the case may need to look at resolution restrictions. As TMDB will have the largest images available over everyone else. Edited April 18, 2024 by Happy2Play
Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 12000 is nuts, but the app doesn't pull it down from the server at full size anyway so it shouldn't be a problem. It requests it from the server with a max height of 260, which means the final resolution is 652 * 260.

Luke 42077 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Please try adding it back. If it happens again, then please attach the emby server log. Thanks.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 (edited) Pretty sure you have to enable debug logging also to show the logo request. At least you have to for the web client. Server, Logs-Advanced tab Looks like it is but don't see the logo request via the previous log. Edited April 18, 2024 by Happy2Play 1

mbo 12 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 It crashes after adding the logo again. This logfile is "untouched" but resetted minutes before getting back the big logo and crashing the LG App. embyserver(2).txt
mbo 12 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 Debug log was on (also on the last logfile)
mbo 12 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 i found this request in the logs: emby/Items/606240/Images/Logo?tag=6811daff13d7296da0a4e0939135274e&quality=90 Which results in the attached, 12000pixel width webp image ... 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Yep looks like an unrestricted image request so full size image breaks the client. Where the web client applies a restriction /emby/Items/352684/Images/Logo?maxHeight=260&tag=f1e71a9de96fb38e4ae8e1f00f205204&quality=90
Luke 42077 Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 OK good catch. It looks like this is from when the logo is placed in the header. Thanks.
