What’s the process to rollback from beta to stable?

I’m running the latest beta and want to rollback to the latest stable.

Im deploying with official emby docker. 
 

What’s the best way to do this? I don’t want to lose watch states if possible. 
 

my understanding is play states are stored in db. The backup plugin would only allow me to backup playlists and users. 
 

I won’t even consider replacing the docker image in compose with same persistent date e.g db as I’m sure that will cause many problems.

Since there is a database change, you would have to start over or wait for 4.9 to be released.

The new plugin really needs expanded since almost everything is database only now so there is no way downgrade without manually reconfiguring everything.
