Damiankitai 5 Posted April 16, 2024 Posted April 16, 2024 (edited) So, this bug started after upgraded to Kodi21, embyserver to latest and emby plugin nextgen to 9.4.20 I finish watching an episode, delete it and all the season becomes empty, no episodes in it. The dissapeared episodes do not dissapear from emby server or from the HDD, only from Kodi interface. The only way to see the missing episodes back is to repair libraries from the sync option in emby plugin options Please advice. Thanks Edited April 16, 2024 by Damiankitai

Damiankitai 5 Posted April 18, 2024 Author Posted April 18, 2024 Just updated to 10.0.13, even did a factory reset, same bug happens

There must be something different on your setup, I still cannot reproduce the issue. How did you delete the episode? Via context menu (Emby: delete) or via Kodi's delete function (del key on a PC) or via Emby's WebUI etc? Edited April 19, 2024 by quickmic
Damiankitai 5 Posted April 19, 2024 Author Posted April 19, 2024 context menu I also activated the delete after watch option, so it pops the question about deletion. Same result with both paths. 1
Bohrfutter 2 Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 (edited) I have is the same issue. Deleted the files by context menu. Reinstalling Kodi and embynextgen didn't help either. Edited April 20, 2024 by Bohrfutter

Damiankitai 5 Posted April 20, 2024 Author Posted April 20, 2024 (edited) Thanks for the quick answers. Unfortunately, I still experience the bug in 14. I also did factory reset before trying to delete after the update. Maybe more info will help: Running Kodi and Emby server on the same computer, mac-mini running monterey, library on local disk. not using path substitution. Edited April 20, 2024 by Damiankitai 1

Next time I deleted an episode the other episodes have disappeared again. I used the context menue "EMBY: Delete item" like in the video above. 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 ... everytime the same issue Edited April 20, 2024 by Bohrfutter
quickmic 1703 Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Hmm, but as said. I works for me (as in the video). Is there something odd/unusual in your Emby setup? Did you try with stock Kodi and only e4k plugin installed? Without a patter/reproducible test case, I cannot fix the issue.
js28194 36 Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 What skin are you using? I am wondering there is something interacting with skin. I can switch to what you are using @quickmicto test.

Use a PC for testing. Edited April 21, 2024 by quickmic
Bohrfutter 2 Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Now I have changed the skin. It seems that is not the problem. All episodes of a series still disappear when deleting an episode.
quickmic 1703 Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 Instantly, or is there is there a delay -> couple of seconds after the "correct" episode was removed. Or after a Kodi restart? Maybe a timing issue.

Bohrfutter 2 Posted April 22, 2024 Posted April 22, 2024 This is the only way I can delete an episode without the others disappearing
Damiankitai 5 Posted April 23, 2024 Author Posted April 23, 2024 (edited) Yes, same as Bohrfutter here. I also deleted the files as shown in the video, and also tried the delete after watch option, same results. But in my case, when I delete the episodes from the emby webui, they don't dissapear from the webui but all the folder (all the episodes in the same season) dissapear in kodi, resulting in the same bug, no matter from where I delete them. Changed skins, same result. Today there was an update to the emby server. I updated it, but the bug persists Edited April 23, 2024 by Damiankitai
quickmic 1703 Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 What's your Emby server folder/file structure for tvshows?
Bohrfutter 2 Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 i use /series/series name/. A thought: I use native mode. Could that be the reason?

Both could be the reason. I only tested in addon mode and my folder structure is TVShow/Season01/S01E01 - Episodename.mp4 TVShow/Season01/S01E02 - Episodename.mp4 TVShow/Season02/S02E01 - Episodename.mp4 TVShow/Season02/S02E02 - Episodename.mp4 to all users, reported that issue: everybody using native mode Edited April 23, 2024 by quickmic
Damiankitai 5 Posted April 25, 2024 Author Posted April 25, 2024 I'll try using addon mode. I found another weird thing, that may be related. I have both the "ask for deletion after watching" and "skip to next episode" on. It used to work fine, asking to delete the episode when I clicked next episode. But now, If I click next episode, it doesn't ask for deletion. If I hit esc twice (dismissing the "next episode" and exiting to the kodi interface) it asks for deletion. It doesn't bother much, but it's weird. may it be related to the dissapearing episodes bug?
