Video stutters on Android tablet

Hi I’m using Emby on my android tablet to play videos. I prefer to watch my videos at 1.25 speed. When I increase the speed the video plays but there’s a stutter after every few seconds. I suspect it’s because the android tablet is not that powerful. However, previously I was using VLC and the same media would play from the same source ant 1.25 also over Wi-Fi without any issue. Any thoughts or solutions? Thanks
