MagicPinball 3 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 My family depends on my "Watched" flag for TV shows and movies. When I install MB3, will I lose the settings on my shows and movies? Is there a way to back this up?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted October 20, 2013 Solution Posted October 20, 2013 You can backup some of it with the trakt plugin. But really, once you see the web client you'll see how quick it is to manually mark things as well. 2
ebr 16169 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Plus, in MB3 watched status can be different for different people.
MagicPinball 3 Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 If I have to manually re-select the watched flag for each TV show and movie, would it be better to uninstall MB2 prior to installing MB3? Also, any pro/con for saving images within each movie folder? My install drive (C:) is an SSD.
gcw07 347 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The easiest method is to go over to http://trakt.tv and sign up for an account and then sync your MB2 library with them. Then once you've moved over to MB3, sync the watched items back to your MB3 library. 2
yardameus 221 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 This was concern for me as well, when I switched over, but I already had Trakt, and it worked like a charm.
yardameus 221 Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 Also, you can install MB3 server, install the trakt plugin for the server while still keeping your MB2 setup installed, before installing MB Classic. The server will sync up all the watched status, and you could even compare to make sure, before you uninstall MB2. Once you've confirmed that everything looks how you want it to, then you can remove MB2 and install MB Classic. Low risk, low stress.
MagicPinball 3 Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 Thank you for answering my question.
