Some HEVC files not playing video (audio works) on Shield TV Pro

Did some limited testing with the files now. Seems to play fine. One thing I noticed is that the video would occasionally pause for a few seconds and then resume. However, guess it could be something isolated to the file, kind of a small sample size to say if it means anything.

Can you please try the beta release of the app?

I'm always on beta but newest beta caused for me another issues and Emby became unusable - referenced here (but also in other thread in beta by other people): Happy to give it a try  once you will have some new version for testing.

Sorry for waking up an old thread, but... I might have jumped the gun in marking the app release as the solution.

I'm afraid Emby on Nvidia Shield still struggles with some HEVC files, and those HEVC files always run fine on Kodi or Plex.

It's sad really. Love Emby and everything with it, so I really hate it when I have to resort to another app for some of the files.

@Morshu

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.
