It is already disabled by default via the setting that SamES mentioned at the top of this thread. So we've already got the option. It's just not separate for each library.
Davey's 37 Posted April 12, 2025 Author Posted April 12, 2025 can the option be enabled by me is still the question? Thanks again for the tip recommended by SamEs, I have checked the settings and set as indicated on the screenshot. unfortunately it does not work, at least no fast forward button to be seen when playing a music file with chapters. the buttons on the LG remote control do not work for me (yet).
Luke 42077 Posted April 12, 2025 Posted April 12, 2025 OK music is different. Did you try giving focus to the seek bar and then pressing left and right?
Davey's 37 Posted April 13, 2025 Author Posted April 13, 2025 Why is Music different? What does it mean? Here is an answer to (previous) questions (I use the Magic LG remote control on a C9 TV (2019) WEBOS: 5 [latest update] ) channel: up/down button with or without time bar in the OSD: nothing happens up/down navigation button without osd: activates time bar in OSD up/down navigation button with time bar in osd: nothing happens Left/Right navigation button with time bar in osd: 10 seconds forward/backward I really wish to be able to easily control the next chapter from the OSD with a forward button

Just for clarity, the |< and >| buttons in your image are prev/next episode, they are not for skipping to next chapters. While playing a music video, if you press down arrow several times, do you see the menu option for Chapters (Hoofstukken)? Can you select a chapter from there?
Davey's 37 Posted April 13, 2025 Author Posted April 13, 2025 Thanks @SamES I know it comes from another library where you can easily choose previous/next but this is exactly what I would like to see in music video libraries the other and for now only option is to first go to the chapters tab where it becomes confusing but above all cumbersome
Davey's 37 Posted April 14, 2025 Author Posted April 14, 2025 See attached. If you look to the chapter menu, what chapter is playing right now. For me its always a bit confusing When you look at the chapter menu, what chapter is playing now? For me it's always a bit confusing and unclear
Luke 42077 Posted April 14, 2025 Posted April 14, 2025 Right the next app update will have a watching indicator.
Davey's 37 Posted April 14, 2025 Author Posted April 14, 2025 So for now I still have to dive into the chapter menu to select the next chapter or can there be a solution so that I can do this more easily
Luke 42077 Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 How else would you like to select the next chapter?
Davey's 37 Posted October 2, 2025 Author Posted October 2, 2025 Any chance that Emby 5.x will get support for a forward button for the next chapter in music videos and concerts, and that you can set this yourself (to enable/disable)?

Davey's 37 Posted October 3, 2025 Author Posted October 3, 2025 Sorry, but what's a watching indicator? I'd really like to have a forward and back button to choose a different chapter. And I'd love to have a button for doing this.

Luke 42077 Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 The next app update also has an option to configure the up button behavior, which would allow you to press the up button during video playback and jump right to chapters. 1

Davey's 37 Posted October 25, 2025 Author Posted October 25, 2025 I'm looking forward to using this 1
