Erdrick 3 Posted March 10, 2024 Posted March 10, 2024 I have this same issue on a Samsung tv, model QN75Q70AAFXZA. All channels work fine in m3u iptv app. In Emby, sometimes channels work, other times they end up erroring out saying no compatible stream.
Luke 42077 Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 @Erdrick Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
Erdrick 3 Posted March 19, 2024 Author Posted March 19, 2024 (edited) ffmpeg-transcode-dfb20f3b-47e4-4e20-89ae-c3b2f59f6741_1.txt Well, trying it now, everything seems to play now but it is still acting weird. What I play a channel/stream, there is a long pause with a blue circle spinning, at least 15 seconds. Then a static image of that video shows. The blue circle continues to spin. Another 15 seconds later, the video finally starts, but it only plays 20-30 secs of video and then pauses to buffer again. It keeps doing that over and over. On that same TV, on an M3U IPTV app, all the channel start streaming instantly, and never buffer, connecting straight to the IPTV source. embyserver (1).txt Edited March 19, 2024 by Erdrick
Erdrick 3 Posted March 19, 2024 Author Posted March 19, 2024 Just to add, my Emby server runs on a Synology NAS. The TV is wired to a gigabit switch. Both are on the same network.
Luke 42077 Posted March 23, 2024 Posted March 23, 2024 HI, can you try it again? Are you still running into this?
Erdrick 3 Posted July 3, 2024 Author Posted July 3, 2024 (edited) Sorry for the delay. Yes, I am still having this exact same issue. The IPTV service streams fine to the other IPTV software on the Samsung TV, but in Emby it buffers every 20-30 seconds. On my Samsung phone, it streams flawlessly in the Emby software. I have updated to the latest version 4.8.8.0. Edited July 3, 2024 by Erdrick
Luke 42077 Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 @Erdrickit looks like your server just can't transcode quickly enough to burn in the subtitles. If you go into your emby user settings and set the subtitle mode to No Subtitles, how do things compare?
Erdrick 3 Posted July 30, 2024 Author Posted July 30, 2024 Yeah. I turned it off and it seems to be working with no issues. I will monitor it. Thanks Luke! 1
