how to backup live tv

I thought simply copying liveth.xml from the server I am retiring to the new one would work, but it didn't

I copy and pasted a copy of my old server's "livetv.xml" file from the "config" directory into the new server dir on ubuntu here:
/var/lib/emby/config

but sources, channels aren't getting populated. Nothing appears under Live Tv.

M3u sources, by the way.

I did manually change the recording path in the xml file.
Still no go

Hi, there is no officially documented way to backup data for this one singular feature. The only documented backup procedure is to backup the whole server:
