CrappyUserName 30 Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Hi, Previously when the NAS was asleep, Emby would show a spinning circle and if the NAS didn't wake up fast enough it would end up displaying connection options. When this happened I usually just waited a few seconds for the NAS to fully wake, then hit the network icon and it would load up successfully. Tonight it just displayed the Emby logo with a white button in the centre that said "Got it". Hitting back on the remote did nothing. I hit ok and it filled the screen with this webpage https://emby.media/ Once this happened nothing would respond except up and down. This moved the websites banner up and down the screen to reveal the Emby logo behind it. Nothing else would work. Back on the remote did nothing, closing the app and opening it again just displayed the webpage again. The only solution was turning the TV off. Can you change it back to the previous behaviour please. I can't see any reason for the app to direct to the Emby homepage on the TV. I really have to stop applying updates.... Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted March 13, 2024 Posted March 13, 2024 Hi there, can you please show a screenshot example? Thanks.
CrappyUserName 30 Posted March 13, 2024 Author Posted March 13, 2024 Emby Website on TV I didn't get a pic of the button that appears but it was exactly as I described. Just the Emby logo with a white button in the middle that said "Got it". There was nothing else on the screen at that point. I'll see if I can grab it the next time the NAS goes to sleep.
CrappyUserName 30 Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 Got It button Just noticed there appears to be part of a "b" at the bottom of the logo. Behind website This is what happens when you push down a few times on the remote, you can see the menu bar from the website is in the middle of the page and it reveals a green screen behind it.
Luke 42077 Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Hi, what screen is that with the got it button?
Luke 42077 Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 In other words, what did you do just before the Got It button appeared?
CrappyUserName 30 Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 1 hour ago, Luke said: In other words, what did you do just before the Got It button appeared? I launched the Emby app. Sorry I edited that photo a bit as I didn't want the reflection of my lounge room pasted on the internet. it shows the loading circle for a few seconds and then displays the got it button. Previously it would display something like this Connection options
Luke 42077 Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Does the got it button look like it's part of a dialog?
CrappyUserName 30 Posted March 14, 2024 Author Posted March 14, 2024 13 minutes ago, Luke said: Does the got it button look like it's part of a dialog? No, it's just a button by itself like the picture. Although there is the partial "b" in the green part of the logo so I'm guessing there is some black text above it that can't be seen.
Luke 42077 Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 Can you show a screenshot of the entire screen? thanks.

CrappyUserName 30 Posted May 13, 2024 Author Posted May 13, 2024 Just something to add to this. I've been making sure the NAS is awake before I try and open the app on the TV by browsing to a folder on the NAS on my PC first. But my other half tried to watch something today and she didn't think about the issue at all and got the dreaded "got it" button. She asked me what to do and while talking about it we must have left it long enough that the NAS fully woke up so when she finally clicked the got it button, it showed the usual connection options instead of the website. So I guess the solution is to just wait a while before clicking the "got it" button. That's better than turning the TV off and on again.
Luke 42077 Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 OK we'll try to chase this down. Thanks for the update.
